The Queensland Recreational Boating Council (QRBC) attended the Brisbane River Code of Conduct meeting at the Pinkenba office of Maritime Safety Queensland in May 2022. With increasing numbers of users and types of watercraft on the river during all hours of the day and night, it is important that the existing Code of Conduct be reviewed. The Brisbane River is an integral part of the city’s lifestyle and culture and how it functions as a shared space affects community, industry and government. The QRBC looks forward to working with Maritime Safety Queensland and the other stakeholders in the delivery of an updated version of the existing Code of Conduct. Collaboration is the best way to ensure the safest and best possible experience for all users.
