Following the July committee meeting, the QRBC had their Annual General Meeting which included the election of the 2022-2023 executive committee.
All committee positions were declared vacant and following the voting process, the following delegates were declared for the positions of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.
Chairperson: Mr Andrew Fielding
Vice-Chairperson: Mr Bill Corten
Treasurer: Mr Gary Bowden
Secretary: Mr Ernie Stewart
The in-coming Chairperson thanked Mr Des Thomson for his tremendous contribution to the QRBC. ‘Having led the Queensland Recreational Boating Council for the past 18 years, Des has proven to be an outstanding advocate for recreational boating. The council will be forever indebted to Des for his guidance and knowledge and the countless hours that he has volunteered his time. We look forward to Des continuing to be actively involved in the council well into the future’.
